HOW TO MAKE YOURS

  1. Print the pages on cardstock or heavy matte paper if you have it. Plain paper is fine too.
  2. Take one quiet evening. Answer the questions on the last page, even just in your head.
  3. Cut out the pieces that feel true. Leave the rest.
  4. Glue them onto a board, a journal page, or the inside of a cabinet door.
  5. Add your own photos behind the hearts and in the frames.
  6. Put it somewhere you will see it on an ordinary Tuesday.

Words to keep

typed, torn, and ready for your board

rest is allowed
a slower morning
our little home
enough
brave, even quietly
money that stretches
laughing again
this is mine
someday is a date
she is doing it
soft, not small
the year I came back
room to breathe
a table full of people
I kept going
look how far
sunday light
my own name
peace over perfect
we are okay

Blank ones are on the next page, for your own words.

Before you cut

answer what you like, skip what you don't

What does an ordinary good day look like, one year from now?

Where do you wake up? Who is in the kitchen?

What would you stop apologizing for?

What would you do with one free hour every week?

What does money feel like, when it is finally enough?

What do you want your children to remember about this year?

Who do you want to become friends with again, including yourself?

What is one small thing you could do this month to begin?
