Why I write
People assume the hardest part of doing it alone is the money. Often it isn't, quite. It's that nobody asks how your day was, and when they do, there isn't time to really answer.
A letter gives you time. You can start it at midnight and finish it on Thursday. You can cross things out. And somebody on the other end reads all of it, not only the part that fits in a text.
That's what I wanted to make. Not advice, not a program. A person who writes back.
So this is where I'll keep some of my own story, too. Not because mine is special, but because when you're in the middle of it, it helps to know someone else was, and is still here.
